The UNDEAD Death Ride 2025
GRAVEL BIKERS:
The UNDEAD Death Ride is loosely based on the routes of the historic Flint Hills Death Ride. Discover Gravel LLC is not associated in any way with the original FHDR. I simply am a fan of local gravel history. First and foremost the UDR is a group ride out in the Flint Hills.
The UDR is a completely unsupported gravel adventure consisting of a 70 mile loop. The 70 mile loop has two 35 mile legs. Riders may start in Madison or Matfield Green. Note if you are only riding one direction, half the distance, you must arrange your own transport back to your vehicle.
Exact parking and starting locations will be made known closer to the ride. Keep in mind Matfield Green has extremely limited resources. I am considering setting up a basic hydration station for the turn around.

NWA SPRING CLASSIC
A USA Cycling sanctioned road race with multiple categories. The race is held on a local favorite course in Prairie Grove, AR just minutes from Fayetteville. This race is a great early season test of the legs or the perfect opportunity to try your first competitive mass-start road race.
Bazaar Road Race

ORA Trails is staging the 12th annual La Crosse Omnium in 2025, which begins Friday, May 2nd at 4:30 pm with a time trial up Grandads Bluff. The Time Trial and several other race categories have sold out in past years, so racers are encouraged to register in advance for La Crosse Omnium. Please note that pre-registration is required for the Time Trial.
Friday’s lung searing, Grandads Bluff time trial climbs 550 feet in 2.4 miles and racers go off every 30 seconds starting at 4:30 pm.
Day 2 of racing starts Saturday, May 3rd in the morning at 8:30 am on a challenging and secluded loop on scenic, low traffic roads near Chaseburg, WI that features lung scorching climbs and scenic sweeping descents. There are 15 categories of racers completing a 14.35 mile course one to five times depending on the race field. Distances range from 14.35 to 57.4 miles. Riders ascend and descend 1150 feet per lap. Bring your climbing wheels and descending prowess!
The finale, day 3, begins Sunday, May 4th, with a Criterium on the downtown streets of La Crosse. “NASCAR on bikes” with elbow-to-elbow race action at high speeds around a tight, flat as a pancake profile. This is a great chance for spectators to see firsthand all of the excitement that bike racing offers.

The Vino Fondo and Grindo Fondo are fully supported, timed rides. Although not a race, all participants will receive two measures of their achievement: overall ride time AND their climbing time over the penultimate beast, the Schluersburg (Road) or Callaway Fork (Gravel). There are three road and two 'groad' distance options, each tuned to maximize scenery and include as many of the regions challenging "topographic features" as we can find. This is a challenging and rewarding ride to complete.
