Jacob Coffman

Team manager and racer

Racing Background & Experience

Jacob started cycling in 2021 as a way to regain his health and fitness, riding a too-small, worn-out, 50-pound bike from Walmart. In 2023, he upgraded to a road bike and discovered the freedom of speed. After a summer of riding, he set his sights on criterium racing and trained all winter for the 2024 season. His dedication paid off, as he not only entered his first race but also won it, secured multiple local series victories, and advanced from Novice to Cat 3 within a single season.

Notable Achievements

  • 2nd Place Overall – 2024 Spring Fling Cat 5 Series (including one race win)

  • Podium Finishes – Trofeo Sabato Santo & Golden Dragon Cup (Des Moines)

  • 1st Place – Wednesday Night Worlds C Series Champion

Involvement in the Cycling Community

Beyond racing, Jacob is deeply involved in the cycling community. He works at a local bike shop in Lenexa, where he helps fellow cyclists by keeping their bikes in top shape, ensuring every ride is their best one.

Racing Strengths & Team Role

Jacob specializes in sprinting and attacking—delivering short, powerful bursts in key race moments. Whether launching an all-out sprint for the win or leading out a teammate on the final lap, he is always ready to give everything he’s got.

Fun Fact

When he’s not on his bike or fixing one, Jacob enjoys watching football (Go Chiefs!) and hunting for great finds at thrift stores.
